Lundby Mobility Centre continues supporting business, update August 2005
A new car and cycle sharing scheme has been launched at the Disability Centre, Lundby Social Welfare office.  Currently staff can use either mode for 'on-duty' journeys, though in the future to make the scheme to be more cost efficient, this will be extended to local residents to book the cars on evenings and weekends.

Another pilot scheme at the Disability Centre introduced step-counters and asked volunteers to log th number of steps and type of transport used.  It was found that those using public transport walked twice as much as those using their cars, and demonstarting health benefits of the scheme.  The Disability Centre also halved its business trip costs through people walking, cycling and using more public transport.

Travel surveys for companies in Goteborg, December 2004
A perfect example of transnational exchange is illustrated in the Workplaces workpackage, between partners Goteborg and the Yorkshire and Humber Region.  Both are involved in developing company travel plans.  Different examples of travel survey techniques and content of questionaires developed and adapted in the UK were sent to Target colleagues in Goteborg.  From these tried and tested examples, Goteborg have short-cut the system of travel survey investigation and implementation.

Today, Goteborg are mostly working with a web-based tool from www.questback.com, as most companies are allowed to use the internet; however paper surveys are avaialble if required.  The electronic response rate shows a response rate of 75%.

The travel surveys are  introduced with an email a few days before and is 'signed' by the management.  This tool is simple to use and it is possible to communicate anonymously with respondants with specific answers (only questback.com know their identity).  Reports in word, powerpoint, excel, spss are automatically generated, which can be condensed into specific reports for either staff or management.
