Transnational Arena Explained

Transnational exchange is a fundimental aspect for the Interreg IIIB North Sea Region programme that encourages the exchange of knowledge.

Target partners work together to share knowledge, experience and expertise.  They also have shared responsibility across the project with all partners taking a role in managing Work Areas and providing input to the web site and other promotional platforms.  This co-ordinated  transnational approach has led to:

  • help develop initiatives.
  • learning from and with other European, regional and local partners.
  • fast track-track solutions to problems and challenges.
  • gather new perspectives and dimensions to travel options.
  • test new solutions in different countries, locations and contexts.
  • enable organisations in the region to implement sustainable travel measures.

Target acheives the exchange of knowledge for new sustainable transport solutions through communication, including: exchange visits, workshops, conferences, the website and transferable promotional ideas.

Target also aims is to create a directory of ‘experts’ in the field of mobility management, which will be available as a long term resource for the North Sea Region.
