Introduction
This two-part project includes the development of a comprehensive strategy for communication and information about cycle and walking routes.  And secondly, it will implement signposting connections to information systems in Vollsmose, a high-rise social housing area in Odense with many social problems.

As current signs are not complete and vunerable to vandalism, the benefits of the new signs are expected to improve trip planning and information for walkers and cyclists.

New plan with new local routes ! Spring 2004
A new infomation plan has been draw up for better communications for walkers and cyclists.  It includes additional new routes and new disigns for signage 'pylons'.  Providing simplistic but thourough information.

It was achallange to get the 'pylons' right.  They had to be a good price and the right size - big enough to see for cyclists but not too large to attract a license for installation.  Maintenance was another  big concern following the distruction of the former signs.  They had to be strong, easy to exchange or add information to and they should be vandal proof with a finish of anti-graffiti paint.  See above for the final product.
