Membership for the car share campaign has consistently grown during Target 2 due to the ongoing publicity through information meetings, advertising on all buses across the city of Goteborg and several ongoing local campaigns. To date, car pools in Lundby have grown with about 120 members.

A new car pool folder was produced in August providing easy accessable information for would-be members.

In addition, five individuals have signed agreements with the Lundby Mobility Centre to join the car sharing scheme for one year.  During this time they have agreed to be monitored during the coming year and report on their experiences of car sharing for individuals.

The Lundby Mobility Map, published April 2004
A map that brings together a range of mobility options and their locations in the Lundby district, has been published.  It contains information about cycle routes, public transport, the location of car sharing schremes, alternative fuel filling stations and ecodriving schools.  As part of the marketing process, the map was distributed to 20,000 households in Lundby at the end of April.

'Scrap your old car' campaign launched....October 2003
A project to offer the owners of old cars free public transport for one year, or, free membership in a car pool if they scrap their old car, was launched October 2004.  The  invitation was initially sent to 2300 car owners.  Already, 90 people have signed up to scrap their cars.

During the rest of the year, these former car owners travel habits will be investigated to see if they have changed habits and what they think about their new situation 'life without a car'!

New ideas 'scrap your old car', March 2003
Early days, but a great idea.  Plans are being made to investigate a new scheme that offers owners of old cars (older than 1988) a membership in a car pool or free public transport for one year, if they scrap their old car. During spring 2003 a number of outdoor activities were arranged in the Lundby area to spread information about car sharing, public transport, cycling and walking.
