The Municipality of Sluis is a rural area along the Dutch coast situated between the Scheldt esturay and the border with Belgium.  The North Sea coast is an important tourist attraction in Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen and is the main source of income and employment.  The aim of the municipality is to stimulate the use of public transport and reduce car traffic in the region.

Schouwen-Duiveland is the most northern island of the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands with almost 35,000 inhabitants.The island is famous for wide beaches, nature areas and unique villages.  Therefore a very popular tourist region attracting over 150,000 visitors each year.  Developing the 'tourist passport' will provide great advantages for the tourist by improving access to all services and attractions.
