Odense are preparing to launch an extensive health promotional campaign for spring 2005. 5000 pedometers featuring a unique logo of Hans Christian Andersen will be handed out free. The aim is to focus on daily exercise and make people aware of the importance of exercising. To encourage participation, Odense will organise walks and publish special maps showing pathways and beautiful and interesting places to walk in and around Odense.
The campaign is also being set-up to be interactive, in that the participants are to report back on www.cykelby.dk how many steps they have taken during the campaign period.
