House of Commons Health Committee visit Odense. February 2004
Odense was chosen by a UK House of Commons Health Select Committee, as the best European city for their work to improve the quality of life for city dwellers.  Odense City Council hosted two days of presentations and guided tours for the Committee, to show the development and delivery of their initiatives.

On the third phase of their town planning for active living and travel, Odense have developed various cycling initiatives, route improvements and implemented sustainable transport measures over several years.  Target funded promotional campaigns have contributed to these initiatives throughout 2003.
